What more can you tell me about LCM model M12, S12, E12 or E6?

After several months of hard work we've created a revolutionary machine, made specifically to work with polymer clay. The one you all have been asking for for years. We believe the Lucy Clay Machine (LCM) is the first and best machine designed and produced exclusively for polymer clay work.

What is an accu-drive solution?

Based on our experience using the accu-drive with the Czextruder, it is an ideal solution in terms of performance, price, practicality, and versatility. The drill is connected via an interface (6hex plus Cardan clutch which minimized stress) and speed is then adjusted by hand. The LC Machine requires approximately 280 to 350 rpm, maximum. You will want to check your drill’s specs to make sure that you don’t use anything above 350 rpm.

How will the LC Machine be packed? Will there be assembly after unboxing?

Our goal is for you to have as little assembly as possible. Currently, we are offering a fully assembled version.

How will the LC Machine be secured to the work surface?

The base of the LC Machine will be equipped with 4 special strong magnets. You will attach the metal magnet pads to your table with double-sided tape. We will test the tape, and it will be included in the package.

Alternatively, you can screw the metal magnet pads to your table. If you want them to blend into your work surface so they aren’t noticeable when your LC Machine is not attached, you can cover them with a sticker the same color as your work surface. We’ve also got some cool new stickers with the LC Motive printed on them. You’ve seen these in the videos of the prototypes.

Once your work is done, you can remove your LC Machine from the magnetic pads. Of course, the pad could serve as a coaster for your coffee mug in the winter!

Another option is to countersink magnets into your table and screw the pads onto the base of the LC Machine. The principle is the same: four strong magnets on your table could be useful for holding other instruments in place.

A final option is to place the LC Machine on the edge of the work surface and secure it using C-clamps. We are not including C-clamps in the package, as we know many of you already have some that you use now. C-clamps are readily available at hobby stores as well as hardware stores. We aren’t including them with the LC Machine because we don’t want to sell you something you don’t need. However, for your convenience, we will offer C-clamps in the LC Store as a separate item.

What are the supporting bolts for?

The gap is set by an aluminum knob / wheel. Two black supporting screws prevent the roller frame from sagging under pressure. Thanks to this you can set up gap up to 12 mm / 6 mm (depending on the model).

When/How to clean the LC Blades / cleaner blades?

During use, clean the cleaner blades on the rollers from time to time and whenever needed. Watch the video #12: Cleaning the cleaner blades.

What is the difference between Mammoth, Squirrel and Elephant model?

The major difference is in the length of the rollers (Mammoth 25 cm / 10" , Squirrel 20 cm / 7.8", Elephant 20 cm / 7.8", ), dimensions and positions of the device on the tabletop - due to dimensions of the devices and the crank, you can place Mammoth ans Squirrel anywhere on your table. Elephant can be placed only at the edge of the table - refer to the images on the website www.lucyclaymachine.com.

How to proceed if my LC Machine was delivered damaged?

Never accept a parcel that is crushed, damaged or has been left open without asking a report from the postman / delivery service. If you receive it damaged, please inform us directly at support@lucyclaytools.com before sharing it on the Internet.

How / Where to complain?

If you are having any trouble with your LC Machine, fell free to contact us at support@lucyclaytools.com. if possible, attach a photo documentation.
